Under the kind auspices and attendance of HE Dr. Mohamed Salem , MCIT Minister, co-operation of Loghat El Asr Magazine, Concord for Exhibitions and Conferences in cooperation with Phoenix Egypt are pleased to announce The Second Afro-Arab Open Source Forum; 22 – 23 November, 2011 in Information Technology Institute, ITI at the Smart Village – Cairo, Egypt. The first MEAOSS Forum was attended by 120 specialists from manufacturing, banking, academia, CIT industry and government officials, 24 presentations on various topics were given by experts, delegates and speakers from USA, Morocco, Kenya, India and Bahrain joined us as well. Information Technology Industry Development Agency – ITIDA gave an official sponsorship while HE Dr. Ahmed Darwish, State Minister of Administrative Development honored the event with his kind auspices. Vendors of tools, applications and those with remarkable experiences are welcome to present their products, technologies, services and to discuss their success stories as well. The event strives to develop and support the usage of the open source technology in the ICT, enhance the low cost – innovative environment, in addition to spreading the sectored awareness. Presentations To guarantee the relevance and coherence of the addressed topics, a special committee will review the proposed presentations for approval to be enrolled in the forum schedule. A brief bio of the speaker and a 5 lines short summary about the presentation together with name of the company, title and position of the speaker will appear in the forum booklet.
